For decades Gus (Clint Eastwood), a cantankerous talent scout for the Atlanta Braves whose old-school methods are on the outs, has been one of baseball’s best scouts — but now his eyesight is catching up with him and the front office of the Atlanta Braves is starting to question his judgment. Tasked with checking out the country’s hottest batting prospect, Gus is forced to accept help from his daughter, Mickey (Amy Adams).
